About Us

DC Webwomen is a professional organization of more than 3000 members located in the DC area. Our members are professional women, students and enthusiasts who specialize in the fields of Web Design, Web Development, Computer Science, IT, Graphic Design, Web Content, Blogging, Multimedia, Marketing, e-Marketing, SEO, Web Analytics, and Social Media.

We are a 501(c)(6)*, Trade Association. non-for-profit created to promote women in web-related careers. Going on ten years old, our mission at DC Webwomen remains the same: to reach out and partner with local technology, web, and new media communities/groups that advocate for women in technology.

*As a trade association, DCWW does not have sales-tax exemption. A business or an individual who makes a contribution to DCWW cannot receive a tax benefit but can claim the contribution as a business expense if it is in line with normal business activities.
