On September 29, 1998, about 15 girls gathered at EEI Communications in Alexandria, VA, and at DSTI in Rockville, MD, to explore the Web and create their first home pages.

Thanks to everyone who participated in our third Take Our Daughters to the Net Day! Once again, it was a resounding success.

The event was a collaborative effort between the DC Web Women and The Association for Women in Computing. Normally this event is held in April in correspondence with the larger "Take Your Daughter to Work" day sponsored nationwide by the Ms. Foundation. But this year, due to the success of our April event, we decided to have another one in September.
