Getting from Wanting to Doing: Interface Design
- What Organizations Want: What do we want to do with our site?
- What Visitors Want: How do you know what your users want to do on your
site?
- The Goal: What is the purpose of the site?
- What Developers Want: How do are we going to use technology to achieve
these goals?
- Task Analysis: How are visitors going to achieve their goals?
- Compromise: How do we please visitors while dealing with the limits of
technology?
- Navigation: How will visitors get around?
- Interaction Design: How will we teach them how to reach their goals?
- Evaluation: How to tell if you've achieved your goals.
Guest speaker (and fellow DC Web Woman) Lorelei Brown will address the
various issues of interface design.
