Thanks to everyone who participated in our fourth bi-annual Take Our Daughters to the Web Event! We are pleased to report that once again, it was a resounding success! On April 21st, 1999, over 50 girls gathered at 6 locations throughout the metropolitan DC area: Decision Systems Technologies Incorporated in Rockville, MD, Georgetown University Networked Media Center, Washington, D.C., The National Press Club in Washington D.C., NetMasters in Washington, D.C., the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland, and WestLake Internet Training, Arlington, VA.

The event was a collaborative effort between the DC Web Women and San Francisco Women on the Web. This event was held in April in correspondence with the larger "Take Your Child to Work" day, which is April 22nd, and is sponsored nationwide by the Ms. Foundation.

We would like to extend a heart-felt thanks to all the companies, organizations and volunteers who donated training space, time, food and other goodies to help make this event possible!
