Mailing List Guidelines - Trimming Your Posts

BEFORE: I have just hit "reply all" to respond to this message. Here is how my email window looks, with the steps I need to take next superimposed in blue:

As you can see ... it is desperately in need of a trim!

AFTER: I have removed extra headers, auto-generated footers, and extraneous text in the post I am referencing ... PRIOR to composing my reply. Now my email is all cleaned up and ready to post to the list.

Come on ladies ... you can do it too! It's easy, it only takes a few moments to highlight and hit "delete", but it saves a world of headache for the rest of the list when you take the time to trim those posts!

And while we're at it ... don't forget to make those posts in PLAIN TEXT ONLY! RTF and HTML formatted email are a nightmare for our digest members. Please, don't do it! Only you can prevent list clutter. ;-)
