Monica Jerbi
Marketing & Public Relations Co-Chair
Monica Jerbi is a communications consultant with 20 years of experience, most of it with an international or multi-cultural focus. She has expertise in strategic communications, web and new media, and publications development, including segmenting target audiences; developing messages in cross-cultural contexts; and delivering these messages in ways that inform, influence, and motivate target audiences.
She also writes, edits, designs, and manages a wide range of projects, including websites, newsletters, exhibits, brochures, PowerPoint presentations, news releases, print advertisements, and technical proposals and reports. A former journalist, she excels at translating complex material into everyday language.
In her role as Marketing & Public Relations Co-Chair for DCWW, Monica works with the DCWW Steering Committee and Executive Board members to ensure DCWW events, initiatives, and campaigns are promoted and publicized through Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other media channels. Monica also composes and edits important DCWW internal and external communications on behalf of the organization, which include press releases and special announcements.
Monica holds her Bachelor's in Journalism from Western Washington University and a Master of International Service with a focus on International Communcation from American University. She also has taken graduate-level communications, public relations, and media courses at The George Washington University, Georgetown University, and the Inter-American Defense College.
