Outreach
DCWW has a tradition of reaching out to the local technology, web, and new media communities/groups that advance women's careers. We often partner with organizations like WomenWhoTech, Washington Networking Group, and Women's Information Network to co-sponsor events (and to generate event discounts for women working in the technical and Web spaces). DC Web Women finds itself on a diverse array of print and online resource lists and newspaper stories because we support women in technology. We participate in wonderful trade shows that have become traditions, like NBC 4's Tech Expo and Women's Career Fairs.
But we especially love events that allow us to turn girls on to technology, like "Take Your Daughters To Work Day" or responding to requests to teach girls about web design or participate in a panel.
