Forums are Web-based threaded discussion lists (bulletin boards) that supplement the resources we provide on our list and in our FAQ by creating areas of focused discussion and content. Designated moderators, often experts in their particular area, stimulate discussion about a wide variety of technical and non-technical topics.

But before you jump into the forums, though, there are a few things you should know:

• All forums are, until otherwise announced, a DCWW members-only resource. Please do not forward the URL to anyone.
• Please only post *on topic* within the SIGs. Off-topic posts will be pruned.
• Read the fine print when you register; you will be held to the terms and conditions of the forums whether or not you read them. They're really not that bad, we promise.

Registering

• In order to post a message to forums, you must register.
• Click on the "Register" link anywhere in the forum to jump to a registration page.
• Your password will be *emailed to you* -- you will need the password in order to post.
• Please register using your REAL NAME (not a "handle").
• Also use the EMAIL ADDRESS with which you are SUBSCRIBED to the DCWW LIST (periodically we will go through and compare SIG registrations with the list subscribers; unauthorized registrants will be summarily deleted).
• Luckily, all the forums share the same user information, so just register in one and use the same username and password in both.
