I am Marketing and Communications Manager for WestLake Internet Training, coordinating the direct mail, advertising, public relations, etc. for a rapidly growing Web development training company. In addition, I am writing my thesis for my Science and Technology Studies program at the Northern Virginia campus of Virginia Tech. I am also the resident technical career expert at WashingtonJobs.com.

I started working with DCWW as a list admin, adding new members and watching the group quadruple in size. After that I spent 18 months as Treasurer, working closely with all the other volunteers to help ensure funding for all our terrific programs. My year as president saw us increase our visibility among the tech community and the local press. I look forward to supporting our new president, Caroline Becker, in her new role.
