The job of the Technology chair (or co-chairs) is to oversee all day-to-day technical activities related to DC Web Women. This includes stewardship of the mailing lists, the website, the DNS registration and all other technical-related tasks.

With the help of a team of volunteers, the Tech Chair:

• Maintains the current website, makes timely updates and plans for future website releases.
• Provides technical support for all interactive website elements, such as cgi scripts and bulletin board system.
• Oversees the technical administration of the mailing lists.
• Provides updates for all technical-related information on website, such as list subscription procedures.
• Serves as back up to list subscription volunteers as well as list moms as needed.
• Sets software standards for list and web server.
• Nurtures relationship with our Internet Service Provider, Heller Information Services and maintains DNS registrations.
• Monitors and reports on equipment/software/site statistics.

Hours per month: 15-20

This is a Steering Committee voting role.
