As a non-profit trade association, DC Web Women relies on volunteers to help manage the day-to-day operations of the organization.
Volunteers can help in many ways:
You can volunteer at DCWW programs, events, and workshops, and/or in a leadership capacity as a director or coordinator on the DCWW Steering Committee. Anyone interested in volunteering is encouraged to come to our bi-monthly Steering Committee meetings to learn more about the organization and how best to contribute.
We also need volunteers to help with operational duties, such as moderating the DCWW lists and managing the DCWW website.
As a volunteer, you’ll be able to:
- Work behind the scenes in a capacity where you’re able to effect change within the organization.
- Gain leadership training and experience.
- Meet new people and have an opportunity to partner and build relationships with other organizations.
DCWW volunteers establish enduring, rewarding professional and often personal relationships with other volunteers.
